Kasikorn Business-Technology Group (KBTG) has partnered with the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) to launch a top-up service for Easy Pass cards through the MAKE by KBank application, enhancing the experience for expressway users. This service offers convenience and speed, allowing users to top up anytime, anywhere, without any fees. It features three key advantages over standard banking apps: users can check their balance before topping up, receive an annual summary of their top-ups, and have their usage recorded automatically. This marks a significant step in the collaboration between the public and private sectors to modernize public service systems and make them more accessible to users, with the service now available to over 2.8 million Easy Pass cardholders.

Mr. Chetphan Siridanuphat, Managing Director of Kasikorn Business-Technology Group (KBTG), stated that the MAKE by KBank application continuously develops financial services, transaction capabilities, and new financial management features to support over 3 million users. The focus is on creating an app that meets diverse financial management needs, particularly for topping up bills, which is a popular digital transaction. KBTG's collaboration with EXAT to provide Easy Pass top-ups through the MAKE by KBank app is the latest feature, enhancing the app's offerings to better serve users. Additionally, three unique features have been developed to facilitate Easy Pass top-ups and differentiate it from other banking apps:

  1. Balance Notification Before Top-Up: Users of the MAKE by KBank app can view their Easy Pass balance before topping up, preventing unnecessary duplicate top-ups.
  2. Annual Top-Up Summary: Users receive a summary of their top-ups, including the number of times they topped up and the average amount per transaction. They can also access their top-up history and receipts by Smart Card number (S/N) in the Easy Pass Cloud Chat.
  3. Automatic Usage Recording: The MAKE by KBank app automatically records the Smart Card number (S/N) that users have previously topped up, allowing them to easily select the Easy Pass icon on the home screen and enter the amount for their next top-up without re-entering information.

The MAKE by KBank app now offers a convenient online top-up service for Easy Pass cards. Users can top up anywhere, anytime, with a minimum amount of 300 baht and a maximum of 5,000 baht per transaction, without any additional fees, promoting seamless travel and maximizing convenience for expressway users.

Mr. Surachet Laopoon, Governor of the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), revealed that there are currently over 2.8 million registered Easy Pass cards. EXAT plans to increase Easy Pass lanes to cover 70% of all expressway toll booths by 2028 to enhance service and convenience for Easy Pass users. This collaboration with KBTG to provide top-up services through the MAKE by KBank app is a new channel that reaches more Easy Pass users, aligning with the goal of modernizing expressway services through technology and innovation.
